A Day in Munich

I made a day stop in Munich on my way from Amsterdam to Verona, Italy. I took a night train to Munich and when I got off the train I was really tired. I didn’t get much sleep on the train. I put my things in a locker at the station and headed out. I made it about 3 blocks went into a park laid down in the sun on a bench and slept for about an hour and a half. I’m glad I did because I don’t think I could have made it the entire day.

The best part of Munich was their Englishlichter park. The park is very large and beautiful. A stream runs though the park and people are everywhere. At the far end of the park on a hill is a small memorial. From there you can see across the park and the steeples and old buildings above the distant trees. While walking back I began to notice that some of the people were nude. There is a nudist meadow in the park. Unfortunately, the people with their clothes off should have kept them on.
It was a good way to spend the day before going to my volunteer camp in Vicenza, Italy.
